VIA was co-founded by Prestini in 1999 during her time at the Juilliard School alongside Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum. Other notable members and highlighted artists included Nico Muhly, pianist Stephen Gosling, and conductor Paul Haas. Over the last 25 years, VIA has produced more than 25 major performing arts projects at premier cultural and civic institutions across New York and around the world — reaching audiences of over 175,000 people.
